Holly and Evan are an acoustic blues duo -- she sings and plays acoustic guitar, and he plays standup bass and sings.  I'll be playing guitar and pedal steel guitar, and there will be a harmonica player as well.  These guys are really good!  I have played a couple of short sets with them at the monthly jam, which were delightful, and if this gig goes well there may be many happy returns.  Check it out -- Holly and Evan are GOOD, and totally lovable.  (Their website is at Reverbnation.com.)  And, since I've been playing (and living!) the blues since 1964, I should be able to make them quite happy...

I have been asked to join a new group, The Cambridge County Line, that will be opening for a bluegrass band called Gold Town at VAE 3/5.  The Cambridge County Line consists of Deena Chappell: vocals and mandolin; Dave Cuite: vocals and upright bass; Joe Chirchirillo: vocals, guitar, and harmonica, and me on pedal steel.  This should be a great concert.

To get there from the Cambridge, NY/Bennington VT area, take Route 22 south.  About four or five miles south of Berlin, NY, turn left on Cherry Plain Square.  The Bridgeway bar and restaurant is in one block.

The buffet dinner starts at 7 pm; the band starts at 8.
