Barry,

You still look like that kid who would jump out of his shoes at the jams in the basement of the dorms @ Antioch. Ted Rintel and I had another band in town then. I haven't heard anything about Nick K. ecxept he's in Europe. Loved that Dan Armstrong guitar too ! Only pete Townsend can jump higher than you !! LOL Still in YS and still playing.

Uh oh... I just realized that I've never even written on the King's guestbook! You've got a beautiful site here, Barry, and you've done a truly fantastic job of compiling your history and music together in one place. I'll miss the good ol' days of ZUELA and the Maple Ridge Studio, but I'm confident that there are many more "good ol' days" to come. You've traveled far, Barry, but I don't think you're home yet! Keep on truckin', dear Mentor!

Looking for a Good Steel player, I work with the Fulton Chain Gang. Our current steel player will be leaving soon to work on another project. Take a look at our website. www.fultonchaingang.com. We have a great schedule and all are good money shows. Just looking for a little icing on our cake.
Give me a call 315-856-4977 please leave a message. If your not available, could you recommend a solid steel player.
Thanks
Dave

I especially liked the bio and the 1973 photo with bigfoot. But the music is great, too.

Beautiful site, Barry. And beautiful music! I've got a bunch of your CDs on my ipod and get a real charge whenever one of your songs comes up in the random shuffle. Keep us posted on when and where you're playing. (I know you will!) One of these days the stars will align and we'll be able to make it to one of your gigs. I hope that's soon!

Barry! The site looks great. Thought I'd mention how much I appreciate your patient and creative approach in teaching my two kids to develop their musical skills! Maybe we'll get the 3rd child playing something soon...

Brother Barry! So excited this up & running. Congratulations. "Blues..." & "Wayfaring Stranger" are really REALLY great! I've been playing them on repeat all morning. PLEASE POST MORE MUSIC! It's great to hear your playing again - & the pedal steel has never NEVER sounded finer.

I'm going to be around the area all summer & would really like to get together and do some playing. Get in touch.

Congratulations, brother! Much love & peace to you!

Ah yes The Magic Show at Woodstock .... My silver boots... your spray painted Rickenbacker...wounded Chuckie's bass hanging by a rope from the ceiling... performance art of Paul stage left in the rocking chair, deadpan, only rocking..., Light show by Fred n' Jai. and Hank the different drummer who likely fell in with the wrong crowd one winter's eve.

This is that curly-haired guy with the white dog? And the Toyota Land Cruiser? And the plastic guitar with the pickups that came out? And that Guild twelve string he used to bend the e-strings on? From the Junction? With the undercover cop in the black leather trenchcoat who used to show up to sing My Girl with the pot smokers in the band, hoping to bust them? I don't know. There was a guy like that. He looked like this guy, a lot, and his name was similar although I can't remember exactly what it was, it'll come to me, though. Or maybe not. I remember he was gone one morning, came back in the evening to find out he had drove to New York and bought a pedal steel on 48th Street and set it up and had his friend play chords for him half the night, Satisfied Mind was one of the songs. This guy, I'm thinking of had a bad temper, though. Very unpredictable. Tetchy. Wasn't union, either. Read Lev Tolstoy in a sleeping bag on the floor like a monk. Had his own nail gun. I'm looking at the picture now and thinking it's got to be a different guy. Surely a different guy. Possibly even the wrong website.

I didn't realize you were such a genius! How come you didn't mention in your bio being able to teach the unteachable, rhythmically challenged, half deaf, old farts?

Very nice website! It will be even better when you get your music uploaded. I especially found your bio interesting. I had no idea that you went to school at Antioch. I grew up very near there and took many hikes at Glen Helen.

Welcome to the World Wide Web!! I can't wait to hear the "Life Changing" pedal steel guitar recordings! I enjoyed the old picture of you...Maybe someday there will be some recordings of this neurotic acoustic rhythm guitar player with his awesome sounding teacher!!!
